By the late 1800's pow-wow's were no longer power meetings full of hope, rather meetings of how to keep from starving, and how to keep the Spirit of their people alive, and how to keep from being killed even though they were unarmed and on reservations under armed guard. These people are having their last free meeting. There are no longer enough young men to keep on fighting. |
At the same meeting as above this retired scout tries to help walk them through the process. |
